Whether it’s a day spent at work or a longer vacation away, separation can be as difficult on pet parents as it is for their pet. Thanks to PetChatz, Megan Lowell can get a dose of puppy love to lift her spirits anytime, anywhere.
“Stella is such a special dog,” said Megan. “She really brings out the best in me and I am so incredibly lucky to have her in my life. I just can’t get enough of her, and I love that with PetChatz I am now able to see her anytime I want during the day.”
“If I’m having a bad day at work or am stressed out, it helps me to be able to see her. She’s my furry little ball of happiness. Whenever the PetChatz ringtone starts playing, she jumps right up and looks at the camera. She learned to use it so quickly – as soon as the treat drops, she’ll trot on over and stare at me on the screen. I love being able to check in on her, especially if she hasn’t been feeling well, and PetChatz is awesome for offering that peace of mind.”
After losing her first dog Belle to cancer in 2013, Megan was completely devastated. Belle was her best friend and roommate and had set the bar extremely high for any future pets. After struggling with the decision to get another dog, Megan knew she needed a furry friend to help mend her broken heart. Enter Stella.
“I got Stella in 2013 when she was only eight weeks old. She has completely changed my life. Having her has opened up so many new doors for me as I’m able to meet people who have similar interests through things like obedience school,” said Megan. “She is just a happy, happy girl. Her personality is so contagious and I love that PetChatz lets me check in on her when I need a pick-me-up.”
Megan isn’t the only one who thinks Stella is an exceptional pup. Stella’s happy, smiling face has brought joy to people all over the world through her widely followed Facebook and Instagram accounts. She is one of only 3,000 dogs, or “Heroes,” selected to participate in the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study conducted by the Morris Animal Foundation, which follows each dog throughout its life to collect data that will help determine risk factors for cancer and other major diseases in dogs. Stella also devotes her free time to visiting schools and juvenile detention centers as a therapy dog.
Though they are fortunate to spend so much time together, for Megan, PetChatz has offered her a way to keep in touch with her best friend and get a mood booster throughout the day.
